Location: The port of Kalamata is located at the NE head of Messiniakos Kolpos, in southern Greece. General overview: A mole runs alongside the shore for 300m, ending in a breakwater, 920m in length which is then surrounded by another breakwater, 400m in length. There is a CBM offshore for the discharge of gasolines. Traffic figures: Approx 10,000-15,000t of cargo handled annually. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: LOA 250m, draught 8.7m. CBM: Draught 4.3m, 2,500DWT.
